Teaching

Working with students since 2008, I’ve had the privilege to teach art and science in a variety of different settings with a diversity of audiences ranging from pre-schoolers to retirees. Regardless of subject, the ethos of my classes are learning by doing. Much of my pedagogy is taken from a wide number of artists, educators, and structures including but not limited to: Didier Williams, Sangram Majumdar, Ryan Griffis, Ben Grosser, Lynda Barry, NPS Interpretation, Non-Violent Communication, and Post-Colonial Reparations/Restoration.

Below are examples of some of my student’s art works produced from 2012 to the present at the Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation and University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
